This is an important document which sets out the reasons why the product(s) or service(s) offered or recommended is/are considered suitable, or the most suitable, for your particular needs, objectives and circumstances.

REASON WHY STATEMENT

In considering the most suitable product to meet your needs we have taken the following into account.

• suitability of the product in providing the insurance cover you require taking into account your particular circumstances.
• the product producer (insurance company/underwriter) is authorized to underwrite insurance business in Ireland
• claim handling record, in our direct experience of the product producer.
• flexibility of the product producer in meeting your ongoing insurance requirements.
• the cost of the product vis-à-vis terms offered by competitors.

We are recommending this product because the premium is the most competitive we can obtain in the market taking into account the cover provided and because the producer and product meets the criteria outlined above.

We would be grateful if you would acknowledge receipt of this letter which includes statement of the reason we recommend this product.
