As leading wholesale insurance brokers in Ireland, Hickey Clarke & Langan was established in 1972 as a life and general insurance brokerage. In 1978, we disposed of our life business. Since then, we have operated solely as a general Insurance brokerage for retail and wholesale.

In the 1980s and early 1990’s we established various facilities at Lloyd’s Insurance to place liability, travel, personal accident, and household insurance. Initially, the wholesale business was confined to travel, personal accident, and holiday home insurance. Over the years, it has developed to include a full suite of household products, including owner-occupied, let, mobile homes, bed and breakfast, and country mansions in addition to holiday homes. Our facility is now recognised as the longest continuous Lloyd’s household binding authority in the Irish market. We are proud of our achievements in this regard.

Having enjoyed significant growth in our wholesale business, we now have a dedicated team dealing with brokers in recognition of the fact that brokers are our most important customers.
